This month marks the 10th anniversary of Stepping Stones Marketing and to mark this milestone we are undertaking a series of events over the next 12 months – starting with Director – Dawn James undertaking the Great North Run. Dawn has undertaken many events in the past including marathons , half marathons, 10k and 5k events, but what many people will not know is that in her teens and early twenties she was an excellent athlete being one of the leading distance walkers in the UK.
Joining her on the run is her son Matt, who plays in the Welsh League for Caldicott Town.
Forget the ice bucket challenge this is a real challenge!!
Dawn together with son Matthew travel to the North East to take on the iconic run with a back-up team providing transport, motivational support, physiotherapy services and a shoulder to lean (cry on) at the end!
We are raising monies for Guide Dogs for the Blind (a charity often forgotten about nowadays) who undertake incredible work. Every hour, another person in the UK goes blind, which means we need to train more guide dog puppies. Donations ensure that a guide dog puppy can receive training – from those tentative first days with a puppy walker through to more advanced training at guide dog school and eventually matching them with the right owner. All your donations will play a vital part in giving independence and freedom to blind and partially sighted people.

Google “skin clinic Cardiff” and you will immediately see evidence of the website search engine optimisation skills and website build services provided by Stepping Stones Marketing .
The top 5 positions on page one of Google for “skin clinic Cardiff” are taken by websites built by Stepping Stones Marketing for three skin clinics based in Cardiff.
This is some feat as there are dozens of skin clinics and beauty clinics competing for these top positions, many of which are national companies who spend thousands of pounds on ensuring there sites are no.1.
Well in Cardiff these competing skin clinics must be very frustrated as they struggle to get seen against our high performing websites. Here are the results of the google search:
Position 1 – The Specialist Skin Clinic (About us page) – www.specialistskinclinic.co.uk/about-us/cardiff
Position 2 – The Specialist Skin Clinic (Home page) – www.specialistskinclinic.co.uk
Position 3 – The Clearskin Dermatology Clinic – www.clearskin.uk.com/skin-clinic-cardiff
Position 4 – The Clearskin Dermatology Clinic – www.clearskin.uk.com
Position 5 – Dermatology Clinic Wales – www.dermatologyclinicwales.co.uk
All 3 clinics websites were optimised when originally built on the above keywords, but also dozens more so that their websites are found on all the expected keywords for their services in the geographical area they conduct business in.
How do we achieve this? Well we make sure we understand our clients’ business objectives and build the sites accordingly ensuring the content is unique and all coding elements are correctly input.
Each clinic provides different skin services – Phototherapy, laser and general dermatology so there is no conflict of interest in our building each site.
If you would like a website that is found then ensure you talk to a website design and build company that understands what is required when building a website – you will ultimately save yourself time and money and hopefully as a result receive more business.

The globe is about to go mad (if it has not done so already) with World Cup fever. Many companies across the UK have already put in place plans to use the event as a major promotional tool to gain more business.
Events like the World Cup are great ways to interact and communicate with clients and potential new clients raising your business profile and increasing sales.
We have put in place for several companies a World Cup tournament promotion, in some cases as a reward for sales achievement during the World Cup for staff , for other companies using the event to provide special offers and generate interest in their products and services. It is estimated that over 60% of the UK population will watch the event at some point and globally the viewing figures will be rated in their billions!
Trying to tap into this interest is an opportunity not to be missed, as long of course as you don’t break any copyright or licensing rules – be careful because if you get it wrong…..it could be very costly!
We of course mourn our beloved Wales not being at the tournament, but we will still be taking a keen interest supporting neutral Switzerland – only joking!!!
